Brad is the President and Principal Broker for Shumaker Commercial Real Estate (SCR). Originally from Newark, Ohio, he graduated from The Ohio State University with a major in business and was commissioned a 2ndLt in the U.S. Marine Corps where he served as an infantry officer. Brad returned to Central Ohio in 2017 after 29 years in the Marine Corps. Upon retiring from the Marine Corps Brad spent 5 years as a management consultant for major oil producers, working primarily with Chevron Oil Corporation. He began his real estate career with Shai-Hess Commercial Real Estate team in January 2021 where he quickly learned the role of a commercial real estate agent. Brad's commercial real estate experience in large multi-family sales, business sales, office, retail, and land sales allow him to assist a wide range of client needs. He brings with him the values instilled during his time in the Marine Corps and an understanding of the importance of working with and listening to others. Brad is a Lifetime Alumni member of The Ohio State University and loves watching Buckeye football.
Brad is married to Meme Oberfield Shumaker, they met while attending Newark High School. They have three adult children: Georgia, Claire, and Hunter.
